The Brahmatal Trek is a 5-day adventure in the stunning Uttarakhand Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. Starting from Lohajang, the trek takes you through dense oak and rhododendron forests to the serene Bekaltal Lake and the summit of Brahmatal. The best time to trek Brahmatal is during the winter months (December to March) when the trail is covered with snow, offering stunning winter landscapes, and also during the pre-summer season (April to June) when the weather is pleasant.
The Brahmatal Trek is of moderate difficulty, suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. It involves trekking through snowy paths, forest trails, and some steep ascents.
The maximum altitude reached on this trek is 3,730 meters (12,240 feet) at the Brahmatal Summit.
Accommodation includes guest houses at Lohajang and tents during the trekking days at Bekaltal and Brahmatal. Basic facilities with necessary comforts for trekking are provided.
